Fire advisory in effect in Starland County
From the notice
Due to dry conditions, Starland County has implemented a "Fire Advisory" for all of Starland County effective July 31, 2026. This will remain in effect until conditions change or we see significant moisture. Controlled burn permits will be issued on a case by case basis and may be revoked at any time. This does not prevent the use of BBQs, fire pits and other recreational fires, however it is highly recommended to only use when conditions are suitable, precautions are taken and proper fire containment such as grates or screens are used in conjunction. Take care to make sure fires are properly extinguished and embers are thoroughly soaked.
